About Us
Location Virginia Highlands is located on 100 acres of rolling hills in beautiful Abingdon, Virginia. Our campus is home to seven academic buildings, a disc golf course, walking trails, and other amenities.
Accreditation Virginia Highlands is fully accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSOC)-- the same accreditation colleges like the University of Virginia, the University of Tennessee, and the College of William & Mary hold.
Faculty Our faculty are comprised of over 200 full and part-time members who are experts in their chosen fields. Our students are only taught by credentialed faculty members, not graduate assistants.
Program of Study Virginia Highlands offers over 98 programs of study, ranging from short-term training programs, to career-ready certificates and degrees, to transfer-ready degrees. At VHCC, we have something for everyone!
